May is Military Appreciation Month. Here at Phillips Chevrolet we want to appreciate all those who have served. We have dedicated the last week of May to raising funds for the Wounded Warrior Project. Service Technician and Marine Corps Veteran, Steve Barman checks our progress board to see that so far, we have raised $8,700 of our $12,000 goal by the end of the month. These funds will go to help the mission of the Wounded Warrior Project: to honor and empower wounded warriors. This organization began in 2003, as a small effort to provide simple care and comfort items to hospital bedsides to wounded warriors. Now, they have programs and services in mental health, career counseling, and long-term rehabilitative care, along with advocacy efforts. They do this “to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation’s history”. Phillips Chevrolet in Frankfort, Lansing and Bradley has Illinois’ Largest Chevy Inventory and a commitment to giving back to the communities we serve.
